VSO Life Skills

This handbook brings together postive guidance and 60 practical activities for teaching life skills to street children. It is designed for all people who plan, manage, teach or work on education programmes for street children. Many of the activities are also sUitable for use in mainstream schools. The activities can be adapted and used in different cultural contexts worldwide and requires a minimum of resources. This handbook contains practical advice on: approaches to teaching life skills to street children; advice on hw to plan a life skills programme; teaching ideas and support for street educators; user-friendly step-by-step instructions on how to conduct 60 life skills activities. The advice, information and activities brought together in this handbook is contributed by VSO and national life skills educators who work with street children worldwide.
