En muchas culturas la mujer ha sido subyugada al hombre y vista como un objeto de deseo o sometimiento. La religi n cat lica ha colaborado imponiendo esta imagen idealizada y reduccionista de la mujer a trav s de la figura de la Virgen Mar a. De esta manera se justifca la opresi n y el control masculino sobre las mujeres e impone un modelo ideal de feminidad, satanizando cualquier otro. He querido aportar otra refexi n sobre la construcci n social del g nero y la forma como la religi n y el patriarcado han infuido en la imagen de la mujer. In this way, male oppression and control over women is justified, and an ideal model of femininity is imposed, demonizing any other. I wanted to contribute another reflection on the social construction of gender and how religion and patriarchy have influenced the image of women.
