I can't catch a break. Finally, I'm out from under my 'father's' thumb, able to glimpse the possibility of what my life could be. Free. Happy. Loved. But just when I think one problem is resolved, another emerges.

Between my recent harpy powers manifesting fully, and the acceptance of my bond with Sterling, I have everything I need to restore the balance in Lustros. It's a big undertaking and one I couldn't face without my Shields.

The sister I thought dead, isn't. But as I learn how to use my powers and listen to my instincts, it becomes clear I have to rescue Cade and Sterling's families before I can focus on my own. My sister has been held captive by my ex-fianc , a man who has not only ruined my life but is working on a secret project that will ruin many other lives as well.

I can't wait too long to enact the final stage of our plans. So much is riding on our success. I can only hope when the day is done, I'll walk away with my three Shields. But despite the threat looming over our heads, the promise of our future shines bright enough to keep me going another day. If only fate would lend a hand this time.
