The Sweetgrass Chronicles

The Sweetgrass Chronicles: A Walk Across America, is an illustrated journal by Fisher Monahan following his journey by foot from British Columbia to California as a young person freshly graduated from high-school, walking his path with an artist's perspective. Having deferred his university acceptance due to the implications of a pandemic on student life, Fisher sought to see the west coast from the perspective of a pedestrian, going places otherwise unreachable on a bike or in a car, drawing and writing in his trusty notebook as a means of recording each moment. Walking long distances in remote land, carrying only the essentials, these pages are filled with everything from innocent musings to field notes to interactive lessons about things Fisher has learned in his travels.
