The comical tragedy of the life and loves of Count Istv n Pongr cz, an eccentric Hungarian nobleman. He lived in 19th century Hungary, conducting his life as if he lived as medieval aristocrat. He was widely regarded as insane because of his eccentricity. His refusal to accept the modern world caused conflict with some and admiration and love from his followers.His life changes dramatically when a beautiful young orphan girl comes into his life. The young girl had a troubled life, neglected by some of her relatives, and used as tool for a cruel rivalry between others.
