The Rights (and Wrongs) of Mary Wollstonecraft

This historical romance tells the fascinating story of the woman who is perhaps best known as the mother of Mary Shelley ("Frankenstein"). Wollstonecraft was an author in her own right, however, and her, "Vindication for the Rights of Woman" is considered one of the first feminist's published works. The play, set in 1796, concerns Wollstonecraft's romance with self-proclaimed anarchist William Godwin.
