THE PROMISE tells the inspirational story of Beatrice ("Bea") Castiglia-Catullo and her life-changing vow to help people in need - especially, the elderly.Bea is the founder and president of RAIN (Region-al Aid for Interim Needs, Inc.), one of New York City's largest, not-for-profit, multi-services agen-cies for senior citizens. RAIN's unconventional history mirrors Bea's own journey of faith, love, and commitment.Today, at the age of 96, this amazing woman continues to play an active role in RAIN as well as in a number of other service organizations. Through her never-ending good deeds, she has touched the hearts and lives of countless thousands. To many, she is a living saint. Bea's latest project, which has received a major grant from the Bob and Dolores Hope Charitable Foundation, is a mobile food kitchen which cur-rently serves 500 hot meals each weekday to both the homeless and hungry families in poor areas of the South Bronx.
