The Nature and History of Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park

As a State Park, Werner-Boyce Salt Springs is very young. The history of the springs and surrounding areas go back to the first inhabitants of Florida, and include a Civil War Salt Works. The nature and cultural history of the area that has become this park is discussed, with photographs by the author.
