The Mysteries of the Deep Heart Book I

A three/four generational family story describing the extensive social changes which occurred between 1914 and 1990 and so viewed through the microscopic lens of a wealthy upper class and supposedly God-fearing family. The Trilogy is a realistic fiction exploring this particular family's evolving attitudes to class and status; to the challenges and conflicts experienced by them at all levels arising around issues of education, faith, gender roles and child rearing which ultimately reveal the hard truths rather than facts of each new generation's experiences. Individual and family struggles are played out via relationships constantly challenging the fixed rules and ideas of the upper strata and devolving to people living from the 'inside out' via enlightened attitudes and enriching encounters of overwhelming love and grace. Issues include class, Christian worship styles; differences between culture and faith; responses and reactions to suicide and attitudes to 'difference'.
