The author in this book deals with the law and policy of oil mineral resources ownership and the current developmental challenges in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria and the global community. It attempts at unveiling the connection existing between Nigeria's laws and policies of oil mineral resources ownership and current developmental challenges in the region and impacts on the Nigerian nation and the global community. While, the author concedes that a lot has been written on Nigeria's prevailing legal regime governing the extraction, exploration, exploitation and ownership of oil mineral resources and the impacts of the said laws on the people of the Niger Delta Region in modern day Nigeria, little or no research appears to have been done in the area of determining the correlation, if any, existing between the said laws, the lack of development and the recurrent instability in the said region.
