The History of Hip-Hop

Rapping is a musical genre which incorporates flow over a beat made by producers sampling or making their own beat. Many rappers have been successful off of sampling like Kanye, and many other artists. Rap was a way for artists who grew up in the inner city to use the record player as an instrument, and make it out. Many people categorize rap into 3 eras: the golden age of rap, old school rap, and new school rap so allow me to take you through the different rappers, and overall the history of hip-hop.
