The Has-Beens Cup: Based on a True Story of Golf, Baseball and Champions

In the summer of 1941, with the business of golf still in its infancy, Fred Corcoran brought baseball greats Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth together. With both players retired, the argument of who was the "BEST" would never be settled on the field. But under Corcoran's eye for a promotional story and for charity, Ty and the Babe did square off on the golf course in the "Left-Handed Has-Beens Championship of Nowhere in Particular." This knit-together story is based on that event as Corcoran, Cobb, Ruth and golf legends Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen helped make some noise about golf.
