Matt Hammer is the funeral director at The Richard Mason Funeral Home. His lonely stiff existence revolved around cadavers and grieving family members until on a deserted highway he met Grace Branch. She is a waitress at the only diner in town. Matt is a tough no nonsense kind of guy till he learns first hand about friendship, love and loss.
