Now is the time of the Fall of Chance, the coming-of-age rite that will map out the lives of the next generation. Their career; their home; their spouse: the Fall of Chance will decide it all.

Among these youngsters is Unt. He harbours a secret that could help fulfil his dreams - or throw him into ruin. For human nature is not easily supressed. Ambition, jealousy, love and hate endure, and their devastating consequences will thrust Unt into an odyssey of self-discovery. Personal desire and society's demands will clash and Unt will learn that what we want, what we deserve and what we expect can be very different to what we get.
