The Evolution of a G Part II

This book is a Part II to "The Evolution of a G" by Ishaq S. Mu'min. The first book focused on Izzy and his life growing up in NYC, between Harlem and the Bronx. Book one shows the early struggle of friendship, betrayal, and the ever-occurring quest to survive poverty of the inner cities of America. The story tells of the dangers of drug dealing, crooked police, and systemic racism, which often gives a false sense that this lane is the only game that the Man left the disenfranchised to play. The Evolution of a G-Part II begins with the main character in Part I, Irizarry Dennis, his Philly friends David, Dee, Ty, and others. Once Promising High School Basketball star Irizarry Dennis enters Philly as a family man, with his wife Shalane and his daughter Dejaah, he then experiences all the pitfalls, when gets a taste of the gravitational pull of fast money, fast cars, and fast women. Young Izzy begins to understand that the poverty he used the underworld to overcome is now replaced with lust, greed, envy, and jealousy. He then spends his life fighting his demons and Frenemies, while struggling to transform into a normal life. Izzy's journey now takes him from the gritty streets of New York City to the dangerous streets of the City Of Brotherly Love 'Philly'
