Over the last decade, I have spoken with countless contractors who wanted to learn more about government-funded prevailing wage construction. How did the Davis-Bacon Act come to exist? Prevailing wage laws have very complex and rigorous compliance requirements. There are extraordinary burdens in performing and documenting the work effort which are unique to each jurisdiction. Contractors performing this work need to be well informed and have a team of experts and counsel to ensure strict adherence to the rules.
