Mark moved to New York for a new start-a new life to replace the one he had left behind in Los Angeles. With his parents mostly out of his life, he figured things would start looking up-for a while, they did. But the past always comes back to haunt you, no matter how hard you try to run away from it. Even when you move across the country in doing so.

For a while, Mark's walls had been crumbling. Escaping to a new city hadn't rid him of the nightmares and the reminders of what once was. The worst part was that his friends were starting to notice, making the arrival of a new man in Mark's life even harder to process.

A story about love and mental health, about recognizing your trauma and finding it within yourself to work on it. About friendship and how incredibly important it is, and just how many years someone can run away before the past catches up with them.
