The ANSI Common Lisp Reference Book
The ANSI Common Lisp Reference Book is the updated edition of the reference work on the Common Lisp Language. It contains descriptions of every ANSI Common Lisp operator, constant, variable, and class. Other specialized topics such as arguments common to many operators, format directives, and reader macros will also have their own description pages. In addition, there will be a number of essays on specific topics in Common Lisp such as declarations, forms, keywords, lambda expressions, pathnames, and streams as well as descriptions of standard extensions to Common Lisp (with examples provided by Allegro CL). Each page will have a standard format, examples, and extensive cross-references to related pages.

The book will be in a dictionary format, with each page labeled either by the name of the object the page describes or by 'About XXX'. The 'About' pages are short essays on various topics associated with Common Lisp. As a result, the book will not be divided into chapters; although it is possible groups of pages will be separated from others.
