Simvastatin- The Bone Healer

This book is about the efficacy of drug simvastatin in healing of extraction socket. Simvastatin belongs to the group of statin drugs which is used in the treatment of high cholesterol level but it comes as little surprise that statins may have pleiotropic effects that extend beyond the expected cardioprotective properties. The simvastatin was applied locally to the extraction socket with the help of a potential carrier and post extraction socket healing was evaluated.
