in diebus venturis, cum Siddhartha fieret deus, ipse ibi esset

in days to come, when Siddhartha would become a god, he would be there

cum gloriosus se ibi fore

when he would join the glorious, he would be there

Govinda eum sequi voluit amicum suum

Govinda wanted to follow him as his friend

ille socius et famulus

he was his companion and his servant

Hic est hasta eius et umbra eius

he was his spear-carrier and his shadow

Siddhartha amabatur ab omnibus

Siddhartha was loved by everyone

Gaudium erat omnibus

He was a source of joy for everybody

jucundum fuit omnibus

he was a delight for them all

At ille Siddhartha sibi non gaudebat

But he, Siddhartha, was not a source of joy for himself

non delectatur in se

he found no delight in himself
