Pandemic: Effects On Latin America And the Interactions With China

This book, sponsored and published by our University's Center of Latin American Studies on China, is the fruit of that joint work. Fourteen universities of Mexico, Central America (El Salvador), Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and our University in Chile undertook an academic effort to grasp, from the perspective of our immediate environment, an interpretation of the changes that the pandemic has generated, the realities it has brought to light, the health programs implemented, and the challenges that the events have brought to bear on the application of emergency programs within the different realities of the region. Reading these works shows us the gamut of reactions from the different countries, ranging from denial of what loomed ahead, to the rapid, efficient execution of programs.
