Nicotine and Smoking

Smoking is the predominant form of nicotine use, the largest preventable cause of cancer and cancer-related deaths worldwide. The FDA has approved a number of medical treatments for the treatment of tobacco dependence, including patches, antidepressant medications, vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and enzymes capable of catabolizing nicotine.
