മതനിരപേക്ഷത സംരക്ഷിക്കണമെങ്കില്] മതത്തിന്റെ പേരില്] പൗരത്വം നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്നത് അനുവദിക്കാനാവില്ല. ഒരു ഭാഷ മതി എന്നു പറയുന്നവരോട് പല ഭാഷകള്] വേണമെന്നു നമ്മള്] പറയുന്നു. ഒരു മതം മതി എന്നു പറയുന്നവരോട് എല്ലാ മതങ്ങളും വേണം എന്നു നാം പറയുന്നു. ചില വിഭാഗങ്ങള്]ക്കു മാത്രം മതി പൗരത്വം എന്നു പറയുന്നവരോട് ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്]ക്കാകെ അവകാശപ്പെട്ടതാണ് പൗരത്വം എന്നു നാം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ മതേതരത്വത്തെ ഉയര്]ത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുകയും മതേതര ഇന്ത്യയെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
