Liz Brigham's inspirational memoir, My Smorgasbord, is full of the twists and turns of life that only faith can help us navigate.

When Liz Brigham meets her husband, Jeff, it is clearly the handiwork of the Lord. Two people who need each other cross paths in a coincidence that could only have been orchestrated by the Almighty.

At the time, Liz was working as a housekeeper in a hospital and had recently regained custody of her children. She had spent ten years fighting for them after straying from the path of light into the darkness of drug addiction. By the time Jeff makes his appearance, Liz has found her way back to a grace-filled life following Jesus.

Jeff too has walked a difficult path. His troubles have led him on a shadow-laden journey, culminating in a suicide attempt that brings him to the hospital where Liz is working. The pair grow close, and throughout their trials and tribulations, including an amputation, they lean on each other. Eventually, they marry.

And that's where things begin to take a dark, dangerous turn into an unexpected alley. But Liz survives her nightmare by drawing on her relationship with Christ.
