My Father's Keeper: Dealing With the Residue of an Absent Father

Fatherlessness has reached epidemic levels in the United States. Children without fathers are more likely to perform poorly in school, to be members of gangs, to be incarcerated and to suffer a long list of other adverse effects. Unfortunately, the adverse effects don't stop at childhood; they carry on into adulthood. Men who grew up without fathers typically have difficulty processing the emotional scars created during their childhood. As a result, many of the wounds of fatherlessness carry on to the next generation.The purpose of this book is to help men Biblically address the ill effects of fatherlessness, and the residue that's left long after they enter adulthood. Hurting people hurt people. But through a growing, deep relationship with Christ, men can receive healing and produce a legacy that bears fruit for the next generation and beyond.
