My Car Was a Jowett

The Jowett car is perhaps the most famous marque to come out of Yorkshire. The Bradford-built cars were for the most part utilitarian but their cheapness and simplicity brought them a loyal following. The company closed its doors in 1954 but the owners club was and still is one of the most active of all. Jowetts have a loyal following still and Noel Stokoe tells here the story of the Bradford company that took on the world and even showed them how to produce simple, economical and stylish cars.
