Mechanical sizing of free-flowing pipes

This document deals with the design and mechanical dimensioning of free-flowing underground pipes in accordance with the iso 2785 standards, fascicle 70 (version 2003) and the American ALA standards. The calculation methods are applicable for concrete or steel pipes mainly loaded by earth pressure and surface surcharges. This document also includes the calculation of the loads caused by the various actions. At the end of the document, application examples with detailed answers are proposed.
