Lies I Have Believed and the Truth that Set Me Free

If you have ever been lied to, you know what a personal offense that is. As Christians, we have not only bought into many lies, but have made them such a part of our belief system that we no longer recognize them as lies. Even though these lies are destroying our peace, killing our joy, and ruining our lives, we let them stay because they sound and feel so true. While there are numerous lies that could be listed, this is a very personal account of the lies to which I've given real estate of my heart. This is an honest account of the havoc they caused during their stay, what led to their eviction, and the restoration process that followed. It is my hope that this account will encourage you to take an honest walk through the halls of your heart and allow only the truth of God's Word to take residence. Only then will you truly find lasting peace and joy.
