Leadership Development Practices in Two Selected Evangelical Churches in Nairobi

This book addresses the need to raise godly leaders in the church context. The problem statement emphasizes the need of equipping the whole body of Christ for effective ministry. The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the leadership development practices in two evangelical churches in the city of Nairobi. This study explored the vision and mission of the two churches and the roles of church members and pastors. Further, this study investigated the leadership development strategy and the outcome of this strategy in the two churches. The significance of this study sheds light on the leadership development approaches in the two churches. This chapter ends with a statement on delimitations and operational definitions.
