Jesus Wept seeks to reecover an understanding of leadership - lay and ordained, 'sacred' and 'secular' - which affirms a chosen vulnerability as a theologically valid and pastorally effective option for those who serve the wounded and risen Christ. Although written primarily for those engaged in leadership in the Christian community, the book uncovers truths that challenge all those who question the invulnerability of people in positions of leadership to embrace their humanity and vulnerability, and to reach out in humility and love.
