Intern Survival Guide

This booklet was conceptualized after observing the struggles of interns during the very first few months of their residency. Either for a new medical graduate or foreign graduate, the transition to residency can often be a daunting one. The tips and advice suggested in this book initially started out as a 2-page list. With rave reviews and positive feedback from interns at our hospital, it has been expanded gradually and is now approaching to a three-digits page count. This booklet includes not only the essential components of management for majority of medical conditions that an intern encounters daily but also practical tips and advice to troubleshoot a variety of challenging situations in their daily life. The authors hope these pointers can empower new interns to approach the coming months with confidence and ever-increasing competence.
In this 2025-2026 edition, the whole book is revised by Nyan Linn Myint and Thein Tun Aung to be updated in accordance to the newest society guidelines.
