INTENTION'S FOLLY is a revival of Orwellian literary fiction set in a modern day dystopia. Layered with political satire and thought-provoking social themes, this book explores the paradox of two well-intentioned, yet fully-opposed protagonists, and the tragedy that ensues when their worlds collide.

Vincent Laymon, a union ditch digger, rides a wave of self-justified violence and circumstance into a position of great political power within the government-heavy Civicist nation of Canada. Meanwhile, America is the last beacon of hope for capitalist democracy in a world otherwise cowering in the shadow of the Global Civic Order. There, a young entrepreneur named Marcus Pratt is gaining notoriety through his financial success and affiliation with the Ascendant party - a neo-political faction with an unprecedented, hard-lined stance on individual liberty. The rise of Marcus parallels that of Vincent, until the two men, through no choice of their own, are pitted against each other. With their fates hopelessly intertwined, they lead nation against nation, ideal against ideal, and intention against intention. In the eyes of either man, success would surely lead to a brighter future for the world... were it not for INTENTION'S FOLLY.
