Illumination: Prescriptions for Dealing with Three Blind Mice: Mental Illness, Miseducation and Poverty

Illumination is a psychological and empowerment novel which is a blend of fiction and non-fiction used to analyze and synthesize the authors' observations of human systems which led them to conclude that there are negative impacting forces robbing African people in America and throughout the diaspora of optimum human functioning. These negative forces are systemic manifestations that lead to many of us living in darkness, as a blinded people, sightless, to find our way out of the quagmire of debilitating entanglements of racist driven mental illness, miseducation and poverty.This book will elucidate how the three blind mice of mental illness, miseducation and poverty, driven by racism, have impacted black lives historically and what we can do to move from "darkness to marvelous light," so that our children, their children, and their children's children can be illuminated-moving from blindness to sight.
