This is not a cancer-survivor journal. If you chose this book looking to better your prognosis with a new regimen of dried peach pits, rare Indian curry powder, and deep prayer, keep looking because you will be disappointed. This book is simply about ending that vacant, pit-of-your-stomach feeling that you awake to every morning, once again realizing that this was not just another bad dream. I describe how I came to terms with my diagnosis of cancer, and how that single event encouraged me to do the things I had once only dreamed of. My travels to exotic locations and adrenaline charged experiences are all intimately detailed as I attempt to encourage people with a similar diagnosis to replace their despair with life's grandeur. I endeavor to depict how my adventures not only led to an exciting and memorable existence, but ultimately helped me face the fears and anxiety of battling a dreaded disease, as well as tackling life's everyday struggles.
