Hepatitis C affects more than 100 million people worldwide and there is currently no vaccine against the virus that causes the disease (HCV). This volume describes recent advances in our understanding of the biology of HCV and the consequences of infection, as well as ongoing efforts to develop a vaccine and new treatment strategies.
