Helena's Choice

Helena Cadfield returns to Oxford from French boarding school in the summer of 1837 only to learn that her father has died while excavating treasures on her mother's property in Nemea, Greece. As a result, Helena leaves behind Allan, the man she loves to travel to Greece. She finds poverty and ruin there, as Greece is still suffering the aftermath of the 10-year revolution against the Ottoman Turks. Helena searches for her father's treasures with Aristotle. Her burgeoning love for Aristotle topples her laid-out plans for Allan. Will she return to Allan in England, or remain in Greece with Aristotle?
