Hadar and The New Story

Johanna Murphy, the illustrator, is in the 6th grade and enjoys growing up, teasing her younger brothers, playing in the Winter snow, picking the Spring flowers, and just being Hanna.

The author makes his home in Concord, MA where he cares for his three children.

These stories were born during a time of personal hardship and near despair as he struggled to hide his soul and protect his children. Hadar the main character (of now many stories) represents the best in us.
