Psychologist Chlo Washington and international recording artist Jesse Reyes meet by chance at a music festival in Milwaukee. Their chemistry is palpable from the start and they fall for each other immediately. Chlo doubts Jesse's true intentions, and the story takes us through their journey as Jesse sets out to prove to her she's the only one. Chlo moves to California to be with him and is pulled into his world of long hours in the recording studio, world tours, groupies, and coming to terms with her own personal pain. To avoid the spotlight, Chlo insists on posing as Jesse's personal assistant, unfortunately, this guise causes a strain in their relationship. It is finally revealed they are together, but Chlo gets more than she bargained for and buried trauma comes to the surface. For Chlo , Jesse's philandering confirms that no man can be trusted. When she is confronted with her mysterious past, Jesse makes sure she is safe from experiencing old hurts again.
