EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE A CHANCE A major focus of learning currently must be on the development of people who value and cherish a variety of cultural lifestyles. This includes the concepts of racial tolerance and acceptance of new roles for women, men, and children. This resource guide is intended to help educators and all people who work with children assist them in understanding, accepting, and valuing those who are culturally different. It is with input and resources of organizations such as the United Nations and the Tapori Movement that we can achieve these goals and give all children opportunities for a brighter future, especially those who live in poverty and face struggles everyday of their lives. For more than 50 years, Tapori has given children an opportunity to have communication with real children from many different backgrounds, especially between children who live in poverty and those whose lives are not impoverished. It gives children a chance to focus their energies, thoughts, and sense of justice in positive and creative ways. It gives them a chance to look at their lives and problems and encourage each other to work through those problems.
