Established and Emerging Technologies in TESOL

CALL and language learning have become complex and are accelerated with the arrival of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools. Bringing together experienced researchers and teacher educators from a range of contexts, this book addresses critical aspects of CALL and explores its evolution and intersection with emerging technologies. Whether a novice teacher, postgraduate student, researcher or teacher educator, this book provides inspiration and sound pedagogical examples on CALL integration. The book traces the history of CALL from its earliest behavioural iterations through to contemporary GenAI applications and covers technologies such as MOOCs, Augmented Realities and Digital Games Based Language Learning.
