Famous for her sublime intelligence and her taste for age-old things, she plays a piano specifically made for her, with all the keys painted black. She often plays in the rain, in these stormy afternoons that strike the Basque coast near her home.

A POLICE INVESTIGATION FILLED WITH RIDDLES

Right after receiving the Prince of Asturias Award, Anne is at a cocktail party in a luxury hotel with the other laureates. It is there that a bomb explosion--something inexplicable in a closed venue with high security measures--will ignite a complicated investigation in which Anne--just as special and just as mysterious--will become the main suspect... and the only one able to help the clever Inspector Bieda find the truth.
