Efflux pumps as a mechanism of antibiotic resistance

Our book highlights the different classes of antibiotics known to date and their modes of action and determines the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in bacteria. It focuses essentially on membrane systems such as efflux pumps as the major cause of this resistance and finally, it emphasizes the inhibitors of these pumps as a solution to remedy this phenomenon of great interest.
