Effect of truncal vagotomy on glutamate-injected obese rats

Effect of truncal vagotomy on weight, nasoanal length, Lee index, perigonadal fat and food intake in rats injected with monosodium glutamate. Monosodium glutamate solution was injected subcutaneously into the neonatal phase of Wistar rats. The animals underwent truncal vagotomy at 30 days of age. The study was carried out at 30 and 90 days of age. Work carried out at the cell biology department of the State University of Maring - PR - Brazil.
