Digitalization presents both a challenge and an opportunity for religious education, prompting content and methodological shifts in teaching and learning processes. This dissertation offers a domain-specific framework for critical media education in religious instruction, integrating interdisciplinary perspectives. Alongside a synthesis of theoretical insights, it provides practical applications for religious pedagogy, demonstrating how digital media can be incorporated both as technical tools and substantive content in religious education. The aim is to prepare students for responsible and reflective media use from a Christian perspective.
