Conformity assessment of food supplements in Tunisia

Consumption of dietary supplements (DS) is growing steadily worldwide, a phenomenon amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has heightened public interest in prevention and immunity enhancement. Today, over 60% of consumers claim to incorporate vitamins into their daily routine, and 55% say they are encouraged to use supplements to maintain a balanced lifestyle. This rapid expansion highlights the need for a strict regulatory framework to ensure the quality, safety and transparency of these products.
