While studying the anti-Christ and the end of time for an apologetics class, author Steven A. Allevato read the eighteenth chapter of the Book of Revelations. He found it disturbingly similar to America.

Over the years, Allevato has collected notes about the possibility of a second civil war on American soil. As he reviewed his notes and began the first draft of this book, he thought, "Is it possible China could be responsible for the destruction of this great country?" How could it occur? About the Author

Steven A. Allevato was brought to the 1991 Medjugorie Peace Conference by his mother, who was deeply troubled over his severe addiction to crack cocaine, as a last resort. Michael O'Brien, a vocalist at the conference, wrote Allevato a note encouraging him to change his life so he could be a witness to others. He then experiences a miraculous conversion and returned to the Lord and the Catholic Church. Now, he teaches Catholic apologetics and has been clean and sober for over twenty-two years.
