A playful snapshot of Xi Jinping's Belt and Road initiative, as expressed in drawings by a distinguished China cartoonist.

Here, Mr. Chibi imagines us through many of the new-day Silk Road initiative's elements as it winds from China through Central Asia, Russia, Eastern and Western Europe, and then again over the South China Sea, through Indonesia, the Mid-East, and North Africa.

The journey highlights many aspects of President Xi's wide-ranging diplomatic and economic vision, introducing them playfully, yet placing them clearly in this midst of this re-imagined Silk Road's exciting and evolving story.
