Bruin in a new environment, finds he is going through an adjustment period, a crisis, if you will. The patterns, habits, survival skills he knows, and knows well, no longer are appropriate. And, his abuse and neglect have left him emotionally and physically in a constant state of alert. Looking at crisis from a Christian perspective, this series has already covered the traditional stages, Fright/flight, Anger/Depression, Denial, is now ready to move into the last stage, Acceptance. Through his newly found friends, Maddie and Reggie, Bruin works through the crisis, and finds new habits and mechanisms to help better cope with change, good or bad, that may come his way.
