Biological management of wilt disease of Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum grandiflorum Ramat.) is one of the most economically important flower crop cultivated for aesthetic and medicinal purposes. Among the diseases, wilt of chrysanthemum incited by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. chrysanthemi is the recent outbreak of disease in the chrysanthemum growing areas of Tamil Nadu. Studies were conducted on the variations of different Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. chrysanthemi isolates regarding morphological and cultural characters. Besides, studies on the management of the disease using antagonistic organisms, organic amendments and bio inoculants were also carried out
