Barrett’s Esophagus

This work gives an extensive overview of the condition known as "Barratt's Esophagus", covering the epidemiology, gastroenterology and surgery, as well as the molecular basis of: the precursor lesions leading to the development of Barrett's Epithelium; the unique characteristics of Barrett's Esophagus; and the consequences of malignant degeneration, that is, adenocarcinoma. All areas of diagnosis, secondary prevention, multimodality, and medical and surgical treatment are explained.
